Bellegreen Visitors' Comments 2007

Winter 2007

Best equipped holiday cottage we've been in. Very cosy & comfortable despite wild & woolly weather. Many lovely walks - Muker - Keld & back probably the best. Savoured Black Sheep & Landlord in several locations, & enjoyed the food at the CB Inn Langthwaite.

Our 7th visit and once again we have had a fabulous week. Glorious blue sky and sunshine at the beginning of the week followed by a sprinkling of snow. The girils (7 & 9) enjoyed the playground and we had some lovely walks. We enjoyed some meals out including the Bridge Inn at Grinton.

A lovely week as always - from sledging on the first day to walks in the Spring like sunshine. We always feel more relaxed and rested after a week in this lovely cottage in timeless Reeth, than anywhere else in the world. Thank you !

Very enjoyable holiday - cottage wonderful - lovely weather - will certainly come back again to Bellegreen. Thank you.

Spring 2007

We have had a lovely week as usual 2nd time around. Excellent weather, lovely cottage, lovely walks. Sunday dinner at the Bridge, picnics at Aysgarth water splash and been to Whitby and Goathland. Can't wait to come back. Thank you. X.

Thank you for a wonderful week. Bellegreen is a real home from home and the vest equipped cottage we have ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a great many !). Reeth is beautuful, the surrounding countryside wonderful. The weather was very kind to us and we managed to do a fabulous walk every day. We loved Bellegreen and we loved Reeth. It was our first visit but I think we will be back ! Thank you for everything.

View of the week: Arkengarthdale, looking down from near the CB Inn; Bird of the week: dipper on River Swale; trip of the week: Wensleydale Railway ('Dads Army' on wheels - great fun !); pub of the week: the Black Bull; church of the week: Grinton; flower of the week: Wild Ramson; animal of the week: donkeys; cheese of the week: Swaledale sheep milk; Drive of the week: up the dale to Muker and Keld; Opinion of the week: Wonderful ! Many thanks.

Summer 2007

Came again because house was so fab last year ! Pony trekking at Arkle Moor was really good. Best meals at King's Arms and The Bridge at Grinton ! Did lots of long walks, very tiring but great to come back home to lovely warm fire !!!!!!!

I really enjoy this holiday. I like getting ice-cream from the little shop ! (chocolate is the best). I love walking down to the three donkeys. We called them coco, chocolate drop and muffin. There was a sheep there too we called it Baa Baa ! Thank you very much it was a great hol !

Yet another great holiday at Bellegreen and all the delights of the Dales. The dogs loved it. We will be back.

Lovely holiday, great cottage & well equipped. Good local food & even the weather was mostly kind to us. Hope to be back - thank you !

Wonderful holiday in a spectacular location. There has been a surprise around every corner. Totally relaxed. Bellegreen was excellent - well equipped and spotless !

Good weather, walked each day. Only used car once to walk from Gunnerside. Ate well at the Bridge twice, King Arms twice and Bull three times. Both Reeth and cottage excellent base for a great holiday. Planning to return next year.

Our first visit to Bellegreen after many visits to Reeth. This must be one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed in. As always the people of Reeth have been wonderful. The weather was gorgeous !! After a summer of rain we have had only blue skies. What more could you ask for. Very many thanks.

Lovell cottage, very comfortable and extremely clean, well equipped.

Autumn 2007

What a delightful cottage, delightful village, sad to go. Thanks for everything Keith & Lyn. Appreciated by a mum of 6 Aussie children (did not want for anything). Blessings.

For our 3rd return it was lovely, the week has flown by. We have also been on a few walks one which went through all the fields to Helaugh and anothe big circuit around and across the swingbridge. Lovely views looking down on many fields. Visited Gunnerside and the Tan Hill Inn while we were there we helped the lady feed Tan and Izzy who are the pet sheep. We hope to be back again in 2008.

A wet and wonderful Xmas, despite the wet weather the cottage was warm and welcoming. Well equipped. When we were not in the lounge in front of the fire we were sat in the King's Arms. "Watch the bottom 3 steps". Living proof Santa knows Reeth and presents delivered safely. He left a note saying could we arrange for a lantern for outside the front door, next year. Hope to be back in 2008.

Snow came down Jan 3rd. Lovely holiday again.

After battling through the snow to get here arrived to find power cut, spent first night by candlelight & coal fire. What an adventure for us all. Left huge snowman on hillside, had good meal in Black Bull. Thanks Lyn & Keith for a brilliant weekend, we haven't stopped laughing !!
